DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School Teacher to join our innovative educational team. This position involves teaching students in grades 6-8 in the areas of computers, coding, robotics, Science Olympiad, and environmental science. The ideal candidate will inspire students to engage with technology and science, fostering a love for learning and exploration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Valid teaching certification for middle school education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and integrate technology into the curriculum.
  • Teach foundational skills in computer literacy, coding languages, and robotics concepts.
  • Guide students in hands-on projects related to robotics, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare students for participation in Science Olympiad competitions, including coaching and mentoring them on various science-related challenges.
  • Instruct students on environmental science topics, promoting awareness of ecological issues and sustainability practices.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and encourages student participation.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administration to enhance the curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

 

RATE OF PAY:  Per the Master Agreement
